Happy Birthday to Ron on 29th!

Happy Birthday to brother, Ron, on July 29th. I was pretty little when you were born, but the one memory I have is that was a year when we had tons of blackberries. I think I stayed at Grandma & Pop-Pop Schwering's for some of the time Mom was in the hospital, as I have this memory of Dad coming into their house carrying a bucket brimming over with blackberries. So I always associate bumper crops of blackberries to when you were born. I hope you have an awesome birthday! (I'm still hoping to find a digital picture that I can post. I have pictures, but they are not digital and somehow, cut and paste--as in Elmer's paste--doesn't work on this blog, imagine that!).

Happy Birthday to sister, Sheila, on July 28th. I hope you have an awesome birthday. This picture was taken at Melissa's bridal shower on Sunday and Miss Kate is in the picture too. I was 8 when Sheila was born and the most vivid image I have is actually the day before you were born, Sheila, and that is of Mom in the Livingroom watching TV as it was the when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon for the first time. That evening, she went into labor and you were born the next day.

Happy 8th Birthday to Ryan on the 22nd!!

Since I have 2 funerals Thursday evening (and it's Girls' Night as well), I wanted to get this posted before I missed nephew Ryan's 8th birthday on Thursday, July 22nd. This is a recent picture of Ryan picking berries on a family trip to Holiday World...thanks to Angie for sending to me.

Happy Birthday to Jeff!

Happy Birthday to Jeff today. I plagiarized a picture from his Facebook account. What I remember the most about when Jeff was born was going to get Dad out of the fields when Mom went into labor....don't remember her telling me with the other kids that she was in labor, so I felt pretty grown-up. I was afraid she'd have the baby before I got to Dad! I remember worrying when Mom didn't come home from the hospital with Jeff (he was jaundiced and had to stay a few more days) and then when he did get home, the time he spent in front of the window "nekked" to catch some rays...to help with the jaundice. Sunbather at that early age, wow. It was also the bicentennial year and Millhousen was having a huge celebration (and we won't discuss the awful flag pants I wore) on the 4th. Mom couldn't go with us, but Dad took us for the celebration. Jeff, I hope you have an awesome birthday!
