In Memory of Rex
We learned yesterday that Kathy's husband, Rex, died suddenly on Tuesday. Kathy is Aunt Rita (Mom's sister) and Uncle Ray's daughter. I don't think anyone could be around Rex for long without smiling or laughing and it is the joy he brought to our family that I will treasure always. We extend our deepest condolences to Kathy and her family at this time. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

May 7, 2009Donald Rex "D. Rex" Lawrence 56, of Fountaintown, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2009. He was born November 12, 1952 to the late Donald and the late Barbara Conklin Lawrence. He was a 1971 graduate of Triton Central High School. Donald was employed as an accountant for New Wave Communication and was a member of Holy Spirit Parish on the East side of Indianapolis. Donald is survived by his wife, Kathy Grote Lawrence; sons, Justin (Michelle) Lawrence and Jacob Lawrence; daughter, Jessica (Michael) Hillberry; sister, Donna Reihning; three grandchildren, Maya and Olivia Hillberry, and Ryker Lawrence; 11 nieces and eight nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 11 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, E. 10th St. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m., Sunday, May 10 at Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine Chapel, 19 E. Main St., with Rosary at 7 p.m. and testimonials to follow the Rosary. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
